This idea is the starting point for this community. Anyone willing to learn, attempt, fail, adapt, and try again can build something of value to other people who will happily pay you for it. I’ve experienced it every now and them with my side hustles. Now I need to experience it everyday.
I have 40 days left.
I’m not that person. Not someone whose already gotten rich from my looks, winning personality, or well-connected friends. I’m a middle-aged black girl who lives in Memphis, Tn and works a regular corporate job.
I got my current position a year ago and was told it was a remote-always position. Said job has given me 40 days before I have to go back to working on the office 4 days a week.
It’s not that I hate the idea of returning to the office. It’s that my retired teacher Mom whose now 83 years old, has lost a lot of her mobility, and just in the last few months – her hearing. Thank God her mind is super sharp!
It’s that I’ve reached the point in life where what I need to do to care for my parent is the opposite of what working for someone else gives me.
What I’m starting with
I’m not starting from zero. I’ve thought up, planned, launched, and operated many businesses over the years. I have experience and receipts.
Some of my brands were made obsolete by new technology. Others became unsustainable due to competition from mass-produced rival products. Other brands just became less interesting to me over time and I moved on to launch something else.
Through all of the experiences, I learned how to do new things and applied that learning to my next big thing.

Honestly…I think it will be interesting and informative.
I’ll be sharing what I learn and experience on my You Tube channel. And creating things to help you build your own thing – playbooks, checklists, e-books, etc.
